3 - Advanced Skills
Level 3 rides will include rutted double track, and uneven roads. These may be rocky and difficult at times. A 1200GS or similar bike will feel heavy in this terrain, and will require an experienced rider. A moderate rider on a 650cc bike will be able to maintain 20 to 30 m.p.h. without a load. Little or no single track will be present on a level 3 ride. You may encounter moderate water crossings (less than knee high). Expect higher average speeds on easy sections of the route.

Ride Description:
I would like to ride out to Strode's Pond this Saturday. It is kind of a large cow water hole, but there are fish in it. (Well there use to be) It is commonly used by my family as a picnic area. We were there today to roast hotdogs.

Ride Description:
Wednesday ride, like in a few hours. Meet At Big Twin Boise ready to rock at 4:30. High speed desert, technical trail level 3. Route is appropriate, south on pleasant valley, follow along Snake River until Grandview or the trail runs out, then back via Cinder Cone Butte, National Guard training range, end at Big Twin. Mileage, 100 between fuel stops at most.

Ride Description:
Opening up a second wave for this years treck to Hells Canyon. This will similar to the ride Dan is plotting and IdahoSam's route that he started and led for many years. I'm limiting this to 8 also. Attendance is again looking good with about 70 people signed up at this time. If you sign up here, make sure you also post to advrider that you are making the trip.

Ride Description:
It's time to start planning this years treck to Hells Canyon. This will again be IdahoSam's route that he started and led for many years. He believes he will have family plans this year so I have volunteered to lead again. I will put a limit of 8 but if we have more that want to go, we will see about having someone else lead a second group. Last year we ended up with 2 groups of 7 make the journey. Upwards of 100 riders from around the northwest and beyond will be in attendance in Enterprise.
